For over fifty years.

Nikaido Oita Mugi Shochu.
The Original.

Among the first to craft shochu from 100% barley, and the first to bring it fully to market. Clean, bright, unmistakably itself. Lower in alcohol. Easy to drink. Made to be enjoyed at your pace.

How to Drink Nikaido
Nikaido Kitchom.
The aged expression.

100% barley shochu, given additional time to mellow and deepen, then filled into a traditional ceramic tsubo (壺つぼ) flask. Each one expertly-crafted, hand-painted, and unique.

How to Drink Kitchom
Easy to drink. Hard to put down.
Neat, on rocks, as a highball, or mixed into something new. There are many ways to enjoy shochu, and very few ways to get it wrong.
See How it's Served
Eight generations. One standard.
Since 1866, Nikaido has remained family-owned. What began as a sake brewery in Hiji Town became something else entirely. The birthplace of 100% barley shochu.
